Job Summary The Alliance Health Project (AHP) is a community-based LGBTQ+ and HIV-focused clinic located at 1930 Market Street in San Francisco. We provide psychotherapy, substance use counseling, case management, support groups, psychiatry, sexual health services, clinical traineeship, and provider education and training. Our multi-disciplinary staff are a client-centered, collaborative, Harm Reduction-oriented team. We have continued to grow as a community-based clinic by anticipating and addressing the changing needs of our LGBTQ+ and HIV community members for more than 35 years. Our process of continuous improvement of service to our community includes a strong focus on cultural humility and anti-racist service provision.
This position is part of the agency's Sexual Health Services team, which provides confidential HIV counseling, testing, and linkage services In the city of San Francisco, Including mobile testing at various community events and agencies. Sexual Health Services is an entry point for clients seeking HIV and sexually transmitted disease (STD) screening services citywide and serves more than 4,000 clients annually. Sexual Health Services provides: short-term follow-up services to clients who test HIV-positive to ensure they successfully access appropriate medical and psychosocial care; and oral and rectal chlamydia and gonorrhea screening and treatment services to clients for whom these additional tests may be appropriate. AHP, which has detected a significant number of asymptomatic cases of these diseases, was the first California program to combine HIV and STD screening and treatment services. Under the supervision of the Sexual Health Services Program Manager the Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) Navigator will provide counseling and case management services to Incoming clients seeking PrEP as an HIV prevention tool.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $31.30 - $39.90 (Hourly Rate). Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or equivalent years of experience. * One year of experience working within a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently * One year of experience working with outside providers In collaborative, care-coordination capacity
Preferred Qualifications * Two years of experience providing HlV test counseling and referrals * One year experience working within a UCSF program * Trained in MI and with at least Six month's experience conducting Motivational Interviewing * Training experience; teaching, curriculum creation, in person/zoom (remote) * One year of experience providing PrEP Navigation Services
License/Certification * HIV Test Counselor Certificate * Phlebotomy license * California State Driver License
