Position Title: Assistant Store Manager Status: Hourly, full-time SUPERVISES: Oversee the activities of staff, volunteers, and/or community service personnel. The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Provide leadership and direction to assigned associates. Maintain daily production schedules and ensure safety, quality and production requirements are met. Track and coordinate department manpower, production, and budget. Analyze problems and implement countermeasures to improve department performance. Coordinate with other Assistant Managers and departments.
Able to delegate job tasks and give instructions in an oral and/or written manner
SCOPE OF POSITION: The Assistant Manager will work in coordination with the Store Manager in the responsibilities of meeting daily goals, motivation and development of store staff, merchandise organization, production, customer service, and sales while maintaining a clean organized retail setting. When the Store Manager is not on site, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for all daily activities in the store. Will be required to cross train in other Thrift Store departments and provide supervisory coverage in those areas as needed to include but not limited to operating a cash register, stock clothing racks, tag sales floor items, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In coordination with and as designated by the Store Manager, oversee:
