Job Summary

Under the direction and supervision of the Radiation Oncologist and the Chief Therapist, the Radiation
Therapist applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the
physician. The Radiation Therapist II is also responsible for simulation of treatment fields and assisting
in the calculation of dose to be delivered (when required) as prescribed and supervised by the Radiation
OncologistThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $73.22 - $91.22 (Hourly Rate).

St. Mary's Medical Center and associated outpatient clinics are now part of UCSF Health. Required Qualifications


  • One year of clinical expertise with a variety of Radiation Oncology techniques on treatment and simulator units required.
  • Associate of Science degree in Radiation Therapy technology from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications


  • Two to three years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.

License/Certification


  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy or equivalent as recognized by the ARRT
  • Certified by the California Department of Public Health as a Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • American Heart Association CPR/BLS
