The opportunity

We currently have remote opportunities available in all US states, with the exception of California.

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Virtual Communications Assistant at Duet. The Virtual Communications Assistant will support Duet staff with daily tasks and will serve Duet by monitoring the general info email inbox and phone line appropriately. The student will also work with their supervisor to identify a communications-related special project each term that aligns with their long-term career goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Student will monitor the info@duet.org inbox for incoming e-mails/voicemails.
  • Students will listen to new voicemails and route the message to the appropriate team by forwarding the message via email with details of the call.
  • Student will forward all general question emails to appropriate team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in SNHU degree program
  • Work study as part of financial aid package
  • Academic progress requirements to maintain work-study hours: 1 submission every 7 days. If you don't submit you will lose hours until you master. At that point, you can earn back hours.
  • Meet with your supervisor at the beginning of each enrolled term to identify a communications-related special project and develop a related work plan, including periodic check-ins.

Learning Outcomes:

  • This position will allow the student to build professional experience in a remote role while supporting communications and student service within our nonprofit organization.

Work Schedule:

  • M-Sa, 8 AM-10 PM for virtual-only positions. Shifts are typically between 2-4 hours.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
