  1. BASIC PURPOSE


The purpose of this position is to provide program, administrative, administrative and clerical support to the Santa Rosa Corps




  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Assist with, or lead regularly scheduled Corps Programs such as:



  1. Youth Activities, Sunday School, Holiness Meetings, Junior Church, Youth group, Troops, Day Camp, VBS and Special Programs, Events and Divisional Programs/Events
  2. Administrate TAM. (Tutoring and Mentoring Program) This includes program, staff, volunteers, organization and all oversite.
  3. Supervise Day Camps.
  4. Assist with seasonal work including kettles program, and food and toy donation. Connect with kettle locations and income.
  5. Christmas assistance application intake and distribution. Adopt a Family and toy sorting and bagging. Employees and Volunteers
  6. Prepare monthly statistics program reports.
  7. Prepare monthly calendar.
  8. Assist with EDS Efforts.
  9. Perform other related duties assigned by Corps Officer.




  1. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
  2. High School Diploma
  3. Ability to speak and write the English language at a high and professional level.
  4. High degree of confidentiality
  5. Computer literate, in windows environment (Microsoft Office), Outlook, Publisher, and Access.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Excellent organizational skills
  8. Strong ability to utilize a high level of time management and handling multiple tasks
  9. Excellent attention to detail and ability to track and present very accurate information
  10. Ability to maintain a good rapport and communication with other staff members, service unit and center personnel, vendors and the public.
  11. Ability to professionally and accurately operate under stressful working conditions in a rapidly changing work environment with multiple priorities.
  12. Ability to play an instrument and/or teach music.
  13. Knowledge of The Salvation Army and its organizational structure is preferred.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  1. Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
  2. Must be 21 years or older.
  3. Authorize The Salvation Army to add name to the CA DMV Pull Notice Program
  4. Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.




  1. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  2. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
  3. Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects
  4. Ability to reach overhead
  5. Ability to operate telephone
  6. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for administrative positions
  7. Ability to operate a computer
  8. Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information
  9. Ability to operate basic office equipment and tools PC, Fax Machine, Telephone, Calculator, Copier, Printer.
