Responsibilities

Duties: The Embedded Software Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will be responsible for the research, design, and development of Tractor and Sprayer Products using tools and processes such as, ANSI C and Model Based Design with MATLAB Simulink Stateflow and AutoCode Generation with TargetLink, which is required for functional operation, testing, and maintenance of products. The duties include working on software development for CCH and 4WD tractor platforms. Supporting new feature developments and working on maintaining current products and supporting ongoing activities. Developing Tractor and Sprayer Functional Software and resolve field issues related to software; software development will be C Programming (ANSI C AND Model Based Development). Designing, developing, testing, debugging, and integrating microcontroller software for Tractor and Sprayer applications. Repairing and resolving software field issues posted by Field Test and Validation Engineers. Designing system software with modular architecture as goal and develop application software to interface with lower-level software, such as Board Support Package (BSP) and Common Core Software (CCS) using proprietary and non-proprietary Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and SCHEDULER concepts. Performing Integration testing for vehicle subsystem development and resolve issues by documenting test cases using several testing techniques, such as boundary value analysis, code coverage analysis, and safety criteria. Developing software from software requirements using Model based automatic code generation approach, including fixed-point conversion and usage of common assets and libraries, and maximize use of existing software. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Salary: $99,000 - $145,200/year.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field, plus two years of experience as a software engineer or related occupation. The two years of experience also requires two years of experience with each of the following: (1) Developing embedded software using C programming using hard and soft Real-time Operating Systems; (2) Developing software from system requirements and reverse engineering from software to requirements for legacy and model-based code; (3) Performing integration testing and documenting test cases; (4) model-based control design using MATLAB, SIMULINK or STATEFLOW and Dspace Targetlink autocode generator toolsets according to MAAB guidelines; (5) Vector tools including Canoe or CANalyzer; (6) Developing of simulators using C sharp for testing or validation purposes; (7) Software configuration tools including Git or Subversion with Tortoise client; and (8) developing software for off-highway vehicles.
