POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of Planning Supervisor, performs a variety of duties including executing the plant cycle counting schedules and communicating all changes/issues that arise to supervisor and finance. This position is a plant representative to outside departments such as customer service and central planning. Must effectively participate and comply with our Health and Environmental program including training and following all policies and procedures. This position works in a team environment and is required to assist others when necessary, but must have demonstrated skills as a self-starter and be self-directed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employ safe work habits and complies with all applicable Diversey safety requirements.
  • Executes the Plant Cycle Count Program - Follow up with Supervisor/Finance to ensure complete.
  • Enters all Adjustments steaming from Cycle Counters data.
  • Supports the PSA counts with Supervisors when needed.
  • Performs bulk cycle counts weekly/daily, reconciles via Dummy Production Order
  • Investigates Identified Inventory discrepancies - Receiving, Production Confirmation errors.
  • Manages Inventory Movements of the Residual Products.
  • Works closely with the Purchasing team on low level Quantities.
  • Support Manufacturing COGI clean up.
  • Support QA investigations for Poor Quality Components.
  • Process Vendor Returns.
  • Lot Code Maintenance for Raw Materials.
  • Inventory Movements - Blocked to unrestricted etc.
  • Completes all Month end inventory reviews/clean ups.
  • Monitor SAP Errors - Help develop SOPs for cycle counting process'.
  • Complete Safe Behavior Visits according to Department schedule.
  • Completes all Safety and Plant Training as Required.
  • Participate in all Plant LEAN Initiatives - 5S, Kaizen, 5 Why Investigations etc.
  • Daily counts of non-inventoried production items (i.e.: Tape, stretch wrap, ink, etc.).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma.
  • 1+ years progressive inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Advanced computer applications in Microsoft Office.
  • MRP System Experience - SAP/WM an Asset.
  • Cycle Counting Experience an asset.
  • Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis.
  • Employee must use and maintain their PPE and follow Area specific PPE policies and rules.
