Staff Research Associate/Animal Biologist Laboratory Medicine Full Time 76764BR Job Summary This is a scientific position for a biologist who is interested in translational research and experienced with molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology. Familiarity with mouse studies and disease models is desired. This position is needed to execute the proposed experiments in our recently funded grant from the Department of Defense on stem cells and extracellular vesicles to treat brain injury and trauma-related conditions. Techniques that will be part of this job include cell culture, organoid studies, intravital imaging in mice RNA spatial transcriptomics, RNA sequencing, proteomics, western blotting and data analysis. Familiarity or strong skills in data analysis, and bioinformatics are desired. Opportunities to learn and contribute to new and ongoing research in the lab are part of this position. This position will provide opportunities to publish groundbreaking research in the field of trauma and critical care medicine. These tests are performed in the areas of chemistry, hematology or blood, immunology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, toxicology and transfusion medicine. Laboratories are located at our China Basin, Mount Zion and Parnassus campuses. These labs perform more than 4.2 million tests a year. Required Qualifications SRA I:
