Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Sales Representative
Work Location: Downtown Los Angeles
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire
OVERVIEW:
A leading Japanese Sake manufacturer is seeking a highly motivated
Sales Representative to manage and grow its client base, primarily focusing on distributors and restaurants. This role is ideal for someone with strong B2B sales experience and a deep understanding of Japanese culture, ideally within the food and beverage industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO
Maintain and strengthen relationships with distributors, restaurants, and existing client accounts (80% account management).
Identify and secure new business opportunities (20% new business development). Provide exceptional customer service and address client needs promptly. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to boost product awareness and sales. Deliver engaging sales presentations to key decision-makers. Attend weekly team meetings to report on performance and share market insights. Plan and participate in promotional events such as food festivals and industry conferences. Coordinate brand activations for each product in collaboration with marketing and partner teams. Conduct market research to inform strategic decisions. Travel as needed to build relationships and represent the brand at events (approximately 20%). QUALIFICATIONS:
Japanese and English bilingual - Fluent/B
usiness-level proficiency in English and a conversational level in Japanese required.
B2B Sales experience required. Strong understanding in Japanese culture.
Food/beverage/
alcohol related experience is a plus.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. (expected 20% )
Willingness to work
nights and weekends
occasionally for events and meetings.
