Aerobraze, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery.

The Utility Technician plays a critical support role across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality and Planning functions to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant aerospace manufacturing processes. This multi-functional role involves equipment upkeep, facility support, operational process assistance, technical collaboration with engineering teams, and support of quality control initiatives

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Facilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and facility infrastructure (5S / lean practices).


  • Operational Support:

    • Assist production operations by setting up equipment, moving materials, and configuring workstations. Maintaining cleanliness of production and support areas (5S / lean practices).


  • Engineering Support:

    • Assist engineers with equipment installation, modification, calibration, and process improvements. Collect, document, and report operational data to aid engineering analysis.


  • Quality Support:

    • Support quality assurance activities, including basic inspection of parts and documentation reviews. Help ensure configuration management principles are followed (QMS).


  • Planning Support:

    • Provide daily updates of jobs at each workstation and how many parts are complete and any quality issues preventing movement of parts from one work area to another.




Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • 1+ experience working with equipment and processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with computers, spreadsheets, hand tools, power tools, and cleaning suppliers
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Initiative and self-direction in completing tasks
