Now Hiring for a Mechanical Design Technician Location: Tampa, FL Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, Onsite Design Advanced Aerospace & Defense Equipment Are you an experienced Mechanical Design professional with strong CAD skills and a passion for creating innovative electro-mechanical systems? Join a growing engineering team supporting high-performance aerospace, defense, and government projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex designs while gaining valuable industry experience. Job Duties Create and release 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for electro-mechanical assemblies and components. Design structures, weldments, machined parts, sheet metal components, and printed parts using SolidWorks and CAD software. Support manufacturing by resolving design issues and implementing engineering change documentation. Assist with design reviews, customer presentations, acceptance testing, and configuration audits. Ensure designs meet customer specifications and applicable aerospace, military, and industry standards. Qualifications 2-10 years of mechanical design experience (Mid-Level or Senior). Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3D parametric modeling. Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and assemblies. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment. Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred. Military or defense industry experience is a plus. U.S. Citizenship required.
