Under the general direction of the Office of TRIO Programs Director, the Educational Talent Search (ETS) Assistant Director is responsible for meeting the objectives of the program, as set forth in the Educational Talent Search approved grant proposal. The ETS Assistant Director designs and implements grade-appropriate college-going workshops, curricula, materials, and activities and delivers individual and group advising services for K-14 students. The incumbent will develop and maintain relationships with parents/families and target school contacts to support student academic success and access to higher education. The ETS Assistant Director plans, implements, and evaluates the ETS services for student participants in accordance with Federal Guidelines and stated project objectives as outlined in the grant proposal and works with the Director to prepare and submit the Annual Performance Report to the Department of Education. ETS is funded by a five-year, TRIO grant through the U.S. Department of Education/Department of Labor. All ETS positions, including the Assistant Director position are grant-funded. We are currently in year one of the grant and all positions may be extended based on funding and project needs.
The salary range for the Assistant Director is $59,500.00 - $70,200.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $65,000 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
