What will you do?

  • Design, develop, implement, and optimize Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms using C++ in Linux-based environments.

  • Develop software solutions focused on high-throughput signal processing and exploitation.

  • Design and implement algorithms capable of processing signals with low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR), higher-order modulations, and adaptive modulation techniques.

  • Analyze signal characteristics and develop processing techniques to improve signal detection, extraction, and interpretation.

  • Modify, enhance, and maintain existing software and firmware to meet evolving technical and operational requirements.

  • Integrate and adapt Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products to support specialized government applications.

  • Develop, test, debug, and validate software components to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation describing signal processing algorithms, mathematical models, and software implementations.

  • Clearly communicate complex DSP models and algorithms to engineering teams to support integration, reuse, and further development.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and other technical stakeholders to identify requirements and implement effective technical solutions.

  • Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, integration activities, and performance optimization efforts.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving signal processing software, algorithm performance, and system integration.

Do you have what it takes?

  • US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Four (4) years of experience supporting projects with similar software development processes.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in C++ programming and Linux operating systems.

  • Formal training or demonstrated hands-on experience developing software using C++ in Linux environments.

  • Experience designing, developing, or implementing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms.

  • Understanding of signal processing principles, including modulation techniques, signal analysis, and algorithm development.

  • Ability to develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize software applications.

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and document software designs and algorithms effectively.

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $120K - $150K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
