Overview
NaphCare is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our healthcare team at the Montgomery County Jail in Dayton, Ohio! Full-Time Day Shift Available Full-Time Night Shift Available + Shift Differential As a Correctional Registered Nurse (RN), you'll work alongside medical providers, nursing professionals, and correctional staff to deliver comprehensive patient care within the facility. You'll perform assessments, administer medications, manage acute and chronic conditions, respond to urgent medical needs, and coordinate care for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. Whether you're an experienced RN looking for something different or a new graduate ready to build your clinical skills and confidence, NaphCare provides training and an opportunity to develop valuable experience in correctional healthcare. Qualifications
Experience / Requirements / Qualifications

- Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within the state
- Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA required)
- Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Flexible schedule and availability to work overtime when needed
- Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
