Job Title: Technical Project Manager III

Location: US remote - PST Preferred

Duration: 4+ Months (Potential to extend)

About the Role: Job Description:

Summary:

  • The main function of a technical project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
  • Manage user help system, creating process documentation / knowledge bases to improve self-service.
  • Proactively identify methods to automate the help system and drive automation / tooling requirements.
  • Provide users with technical front-line support for infrastructure capacity issues.



Must-Have Skills:

  • 5+ years TPM experience in infrastructure / data center environments
  • Cross-organizational project execution (driving work across multiple teams/orgs)
  • Strong communication + conflict resolution with engineering stakeholders



Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Public cloud experience (hyperscaler compute/capacity)
  • Supply chain / capacity planning exposure
  • Frontline escalation support for engineering or product teams



Minimum Years of Experience: 5+

Degrees/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.



Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  • Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
  • Experience in owning a front-line technical customer support system strongly preferred.
  • Experience in driving execution of complex x-organization infrastructure supply chain projects.



About the Team:

  • Technical program team focused on ads hardware capacity and efficiency; fast-moving, highly cross-functional, infra/data-center oriented



Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.



Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Frontline support for engineering escalations
  • Project execution across the central ads capacity program and internal infrastructure teams
  • Supply chain coordination between hardware program and infra partners

Program:

  • The Ads Capacity Efficiency Hardware Program (central ads capacity program)



Products/areas supported:

  • Hardware capacity and efficiency for Ads - frontline support for product/engineering teams, plus supply chain coordination between the central ads capacity program and the internal infrastructure/data center teams


How will progress be evaluated?

  • Responsiveness and quality of escalation handling; ability to move cross-org projects to completion independently; stakeholder feedback from engineering partners



Value added or experience gained:

  • Exposure to large-scale infrastructure and data center capacity programs, hardware supply chain, and cross-org technical program management at scale



Are there any types of candidate profiles or skills that may not be the right fit for this team?

  • Traditional waterfall project management backgrounds
  • Pure business/PMO or non-technical coordinators without infra exposure
  • Candidates needing heavy direction or lacking stakeholder-facing confidence



Are there any immediate disqualifiers or red flags that stand out?

  • No infrastructure or data center experience
  • Under 5 years of relevant TPM experience
  • Waterfall-only methodology experience
  • Weak communication or inability to handle escalations/conflict
