About The Role:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading defense technology company, is seeking a Government Property and Logistics Intern to be part of our Operations team and based out of our Arlington, VA location.
The Government Property and Logistics Intern will assist in managing government property inventories, receive, ship, and stock equipment and material. They will prepare, coordinate and analyze classified and unclassified documentation for both receipts and shipments. They will follow processes and policy with a reliable and efficient teamwork approach to successfully deliver innovative solutions in this dynamic customer space.
Clearance & Location Requirements:


  • All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

  • This is a fully on-site position, based out of our Arlington, VA location.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do:


  • Complete Supply Chain tasks with guidance and checks for accuracy

  • Conduct physical inventories of classified and unclassified equipment and material in accordance with established plans at all IDT locations: Arlington VA, San Diego CA, Mount Laurel NJ, and Fall River MA

  • Prepare documentation for shipments

  • Physically Move and Package equipment and material

  • Match packing slips and perform reconciliation of documentation to physical material

  • Work closely with procurement personnel to resolve discrepancies and coordinate the return of merchandise as required

  • Coordinate with carriers and building engineering for shipment staging and pick up

  • Support security, logistics, and program team members

  • Gathers and document requirements

  • Follow established procedures and ask when clarification is needed



Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Who You Are (Required):


  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a major Business, Computer Science, or Engineering

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as needed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Pay Range*: $28 - $34 / Hour
This amount may not be reflective of actual compensation that may be earned as pay is dependent on a candidate's experience, skills, and education. The posted range does not include bonuses, commissions, tips, or other benefits. IDT is often looking to place multiple candidates at various levels. Therefore, more than one pay range has been included, commensurate with experience.
