TYPE OF POSITION: * Hourly REPORTS TO: Building Principals, immediate supervisor SALARY: $19/hr QUALIFICATIONS: Required * High School or GED Diploma Preferred * Similar job related experience Position Summary: In alignment with the Full Service Community Schools (FSCS) goals, the Kindergarten Academic & Family Engagement Instructional Paraeducator serves as a specialized bridge between classroom instruction, home learning environments, and community wraparound services. Operating under the dual supervision of the Building Principal and the FSCS Supervisor, this role directly advances the core pillars of the FSCS model: * Targeted Classroom Support (Not 1:1 Shadowing): These paraeducators will support each classroom with academic and social/emotional needs under the direction of the Kindergarten teacher. * Dedicated Family Engagement & Student Support: A portion of their daily schedule is specifically set aside to foster family partnerships and provide wraparound support. This includes supporting our Read With Me, Math With Me home initiative, hosting "Parent and Child Together" events, facilitating multilingual outreach (English, Spanish, Somali), and collaborating with our FSCS Coordinator to monitor attendance and connect families with essential community resources.
