Position Title: CNC Lathe Setup Operator
Wage: $24.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm - 1:00am (Monday - Thursday) Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a CNC Setup Operator at a company in Pewaukee, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now! CNC Setup Operator Responsibilities: - Set up and operate CNC, automatic, and semi-automatic machines - Read and follow blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications - Load materials, install tooling, and adjust machine settings, offsets, speeds, and feeds - Monitor machines and make adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements - Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments - Identify and report defects, dimensional issues, or machine problems - Assist with new program prove-outs and recommend tooling, fixtures, and machining sequences - Set up established programs and provide guidance to lower-level Machine Operators - Maintain accurate production and inspection records - Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures Requirements for CNC Setup Operator: - Previous CNC or manufacturing experience preferred - Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools - Basic knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, and fixtures - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Ability to work independently and safely in a manufacturing environment - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods - Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, twist, and use hands for machine operation - Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and parts as required - Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment - Ability to work around machinery, noise, metal chips, coolants, and oils IND104 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
