Nurse Practitioner- Hematology Oncology

The Hematology Oncology Inpatient Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced care to hospitalized patients with complex hematologic malignancies, including but not limited to leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma by implementing the appropriate "standardized procedures" (SP). The NP functions with a high level of autonomy as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes attending physicians and fellows. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for the comprehensive management of patients undergoing advanced therapies such as CAR-T cell therapy, bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) therapy, participation in clinical trials, and standard chemotherapy regimens. This role also includes the medical management of treatment-related toxicities and disease-related complications.

Salary range;

NP1 : $84.62/hourly

NP2: $93.81-$133.97/hourly

• CA RN and CA NP License- required
• MSN/ DNP in Adult Acute Care NP Specialty-required
• National Certification in NP Specialty-required
• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association- required
• NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES-required
• 1 year of experience as an hematology/oncology NP -strongly preferred
• If NP1 (less than 6 months NP experience) - relevant experience as hematology/oncology RN- required
• Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs -required
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel -required
• Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction -required
• Ability to set priorities -required
• Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence -required
• Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner -required
