POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Dallas Commercial division is in search of a Business Development Director who would be based in our Dallas/Fort Worth regional office. The successful candidate should exhibit exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Networking, sales, marketing, and opportunity analysis are all important characteristics required of the position. The ideal candidate should have experience researching and understanding markets, targeting and developing relationships, and be a self-starter as it relates to building a pipeline of cliental.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research prospective accounts in the select markets.

• Pursue leads, leverage network, teammates, and ensure follow through to a successful opportunity.

• Understand the target markets including industry, company, project, and company contacts; employ effective strategies to attract new clients.

• Collaborate with teammates including marketing, estimating, and senior leadership to ensure that proposal and presentation requirements are met.

• Travel domestically to maintain relationships with current and potential clients and to identify new prospects.

• Possess a strong understanding of our brand proposition and our competition in the industry.

• Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate initiatives and competitors.

• Attend local and national conferences and other networking opportunities.

• Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on priorities and goal setting.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM system.

• Superior presentation and communication skills-both written and verbal.

• Ability to develop deep relationships and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.

• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to overcome challenges.

• Honor relationships with the team, clients, vendors, and friends of the firm.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one-to-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
