What to Expect
As a Tool Install Superintendent, you will own the end-to-end installation and bring-up of front-end and back-end process equipment - from facilities hookup and vendor coordination through tool qualification and production readiness. You will work side-by-side with process engineering, facilities, EH&S, and OEM field service teams in a high- velocityfabenvironment where schedule, safety, and tool performance are non-negotiable. This is a hands-on role for engineers who thrive in cleanroom builds, enjoy solving multi-disciplinary install problems, and want to see tools go from crate to qualified production faster than industry norms.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop execution plans/schedules and own P6 schedules
- Drive fieldwork to ensure schedule adherence, escalating build/installation issues to management
- Plan installation logistics, communicate plans to involved parties, and track material deliveries
- Coordinate on-site activities, including tool vendor coordination, base build construction, quality team coordination, and manufacturing engineering coordination
- Coordinate downtime work during factory shutdowns, support operations, and lead constructability reviews of design packages
- Enforce quality for engineering drawings and field installations, resolve field issues, troubleshoot tool installs, and prioritize decision-making for equipment turnover
- Maintain a safe work environment, organize job areas, ensure contractor safety, and supervise on-site laborers while maintaining logs and providing progress reports
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 8 years of construction experience in large industrial projects
- Previous experience as a Lead Superintendent in industrial construction projects
- Understanding of construction design documents and ability to provide constructability feedback
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and environmental regulations
- Ability to work in a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines
- OSHA 30 certification, First Aid and CPR Certification, and strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools, P6 ability preferred
