xPL Shipping and Receiving Specialist

The salary range for this position is estimated to be 85,000.00 - 135,000.00 USD annualized.

Position Description:
Oversee inbound and outbound material coordination activities at xPL manufacturing facility to ensure optimized shipment scheduling and seamless alignment with production and project timelines. Serve as primary liaison with carriers and internal teams to drive operational efficiency and resolve logistics challenges.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct review of shipping and receiving schedules and calendars to manage and support production timelines, project needs, and delivery commitments.

• Serve as main point of contact for pickups and deliveries with carriers, freight providers, and project sites to ensure timely and accurate material movement.

• Review data entry and inventory systems and put checks in place to maintain reliable, traceable records for inventory accuracy.

• Work closely with Manufacturing and Procurement teams to keep flow of materials aligned with production schedules and step in early to identify and address bottlenecks.

• Lead material staging activities to support efficient production properly store, organize, and clearly identify inventory
  /li>
• Investigate damaged, missing, or incorrect items and coordinate practical and timely solutions to prevent repeat issues.

• Maintain safe and organized shipping and receiving area, setting clear expectations for housekeeping standards and comply with company safety policies.
  /li>
• Review and verify shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists, labels) for accuracy.
  /li>
• Promote strong safety culture and environment, document incidents and inspections, keep certifications current, reinforce Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and material safe handling practices, and actively participate in Safety Toolbox Talks.

• Track and share shipping and receiving performance metrics to keep operations and project teams informed of progress.
  /li>
• Continuously look for ways to improve workflow, offer ideas and lead efforts to make shipping and receiving processes more efficient and effective.

• May serve as team lead for specific initiatives and supervise xPL team members as directed.

• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program with minimum of 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  
• Knowledge of inventory control practices, shipping documentation, and basic logistics processes
  
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production scheduling
  
• Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or inventory management systems desired
  
• Highly organized with attention to detail and able to quickly adapt and prioritize responsibilities while working in fast-paced environment
  
• Good judgment to solve problems, escalate issues, and request prioritization of responsibilities
  
• Able to apply active listening skills, learn and process information quickly, ask clarifying questions, and follow tasks through to completion
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced manufacturing environment
  
• Quick learner to adopt processes and technology
  
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
  
• Familiar with continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  
• Limited travel
