The Department of Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in analytical chemistry, broadly defined. We welcome candidates whose research advances the frontiers of measurement science and who are committed to building a nationally and internationally recognized research program. The successful candidate will pursue innovative scholarship, mentor students and trainees, and provide outstanding instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Faculty responsibilities include contributing to curriculum innovation, participating in departmental and university service, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic community.

* Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field.

* Significant research experience beyond the doctoral degree, typically including postdoctoral training.

* Record of scholarly achievement and evidence of the potential to establish an innovative, externally funded research program.

* Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
