Job Summary

We're looking for a Facilities Capital Project Manager to lead facility and infrastructure capital projects that improve reliability, operational efficiency, safety, and production performance across our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will manage capital investments from concept through commissioning, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, and external contractors to successfully deliver projects that support business growth and maximize facility uptime.

Location: Oldsmar, FL
Travel: Occasional travel to Chromalloy sites, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead facility and infrastructure capital projects from concept development through startup, commissioning, and operational handoff.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans to support capital investment initiatives.
• Manage project execution to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and EHS.
• Oversee contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout all phases of project execution.
• Drive facility reliability and continuous improvement initiatives that increase uptime and operational efficiency.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes.
• Develop capital project justifications, business cases, and executive-level project updates for leadership review.
• Support procurement activities including bid evaluations, technical specifications, contractor negotiations, and purchase requisitions.
• Ensure successful startup and integration of new facility systems, utilities, and production support equipment.
• Collaborate with site leadership to identify and prioritize future capital improvement opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 8+ years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, foundry, or heavy production environment.
• Proven experience managing capital budgets, schedules, contractors, and project execution activities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial facility systems such as HVAC, chilled water, cooling towers, compressed air, specialty gases, dehumidification systems, and utility distribution infrastructure.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary contractors and external vendors in active manufacturing environments.
• Ability to develop project schedules, cost forecasts, capital budgets, and resource plans.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and change management practices.
• Experience developing technical scopes of work, specifications, and capital expenditure requests.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively present project plans, business cases, and updates to senior leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with heat treat, vacuum furnace, or other industrial thermal processing systems.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• Experience supporting facility expansions, modernization initiatives, brownfield projects, or large-scale capital programs.
• Experience with commissioning and startup of facility infrastructure and production equipment.
• Aerospace manufacturing industry experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
• Regular presence on the production floor and active project sites is required.
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs, and move throughout manufacturing and construction areas.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety requirements.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
