Job Summary The Company Driver II is an experienced driving role responsible for safely and efficiently operating company vehicles to transport goods, materials, or personnel in support of business operations. This role contributes directly to service reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency through consistent execution, sound judgment, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.Job Description Role OverviewThe Company Driver II performs regular driving duties using companyowned vehicles, typically within a defined geographic area. This role is responsible for following designated routes, schedules, and procedures while ensuring vehicle safety, cargo integrity, and compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. More complex issues or unusual situations are escalated to supervisors as needed. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Operation & Transportation Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, goods, or personnel as assigned Complete assigned routes, pickups, and deliveries in a timely and professional manner Adjust routes or schedules as needed to accommodate traffic, weather, or operational changes Safety, Compliance & Vehicle Care Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations (if applicable), and company safety policies Conduct pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles Ensure safe loading, securing, and unloading of materials Documentation & Communication Accurately complete logs, delivery records, trip reports, or electronic tracking entries Communicate delays, issues, or incidents promptly to supervisors or dispatch Maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams and external contacts Customer & Site Interaction Serve as a professional company representative during deliveries or site visits Follow customer, facility, and sitespecific safety and security requirements Address routine customer questions or issues courteously and appropriately Support & Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve route efficiency, safety, or service reliability Provide informal guidance to Company Driver I roles as needed Support training, safety meetings, and compliance initiatives Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver's license appropriate to vehicle type; CDL required if applicable Typically 2-4 years of professional or commercial driving experience Clean or acceptable driving record per company standards Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of safedriving practices and traffic regulations Ability to operate vehicles confidently and independently Good timemanagement and organizational skills Ability to follow routes, schedules, and written instructions Strong professionalism and customerservice orientation Ability to work independently with limited supervision Additional Job Details Support & Production - S2Organizational Impact *Works to deliver on day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on achievement of results for the team *Work consists of tasks that are typically routine, with some deviation from standard practice *Works under moderate supervision for routine tasks *May seek advice of more senior employees in the same team Communication & Influence *Communicates with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to reach agreement Innovation & Complexity *Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are routine and typically exist in current work processes and systems *May be required to highlight areas of concerns/problems to supervisor in own team *Daily challenges are generally routine, but may require interpretation of procedures or policies to resolve problems Leadership & Talent Management *May provide guidance or assistance to new or entry-level employees Knowledge & Experience *Requires basic job knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education *Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
