No exceptions.Position OverviewWe are seeking dependable, safety-conscious Production Associates to support manufacturing and production operations in a fast-paced environment.This position involves packaging, scanning, assisting machine operators, handling materials, and supporting the processing and preparation of finished products. Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment and performing physical work in refrigerated, cold, and wet conditions.This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity. Per the union contract, candidates must be converted to permanent Sysco employees after 30 days.Key ResponsibilitiesBox, package, and scan finished products.Assist machine operators with running equipment and processing orders correctly.Learn machine operations and production processes through hands-on training.Assemble components or parts into finished products as needed.Assist with processing raw materials and ingredients.Support equipment setup and production activities.Package finished goods for protection, storage, display, and handling.Follow production tickets, special requests, and work instructions.Maintain attention to quality, accuracy, and safety throughout the shift.Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals.Skills & QualificationsSuccessful candidates should have:Ability to work safely around machinery and production equipment.Ability to adapt to changing production demands and operational priorities.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.Dependability and commitment to completing assigned work.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.Strong attention to detail.Willingness and ability to learn new skills and procedures.Basic reading, writing, and math skills.Ability to read production tickets and special requests.Ability to recognize different cuts of meat as required by the position.Ability to write basic numbers and product descriptions.Physical RequirementsCandidates must be able to:Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.Regularly reach, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements.Use hands, fingers, and limbs to operate processing and material-handling equipment.Perform physically demanding production work throughout the scheduled shift.Use their sense of smell when necessary to help identify product wholesomeness or spoilage.Work EnvironmentThis position is performed in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas. Candidates should be prepared to work in:Cold and wet conditions.A fast-paced production environment.Areas with moving machinery and equipment.Areas where sharp surfaces may be present.Employees are expected to follow all established safety procedures and use required protective equipment.
