Summary of the Job:

The Associate II, Community Impact is a versatile and collaborative contributor within the Community Impact center of excellence, providing essential support across programs, events, communications and operations. This role ensures the team effectively covers FNBO's community footprint, serves as an educated backup across key team functions, works as emerging Subject Matter Expert for Impact Investing and Community Development Corporation, and independently owns program and event coordination responsibilities including volunteerism gatherings, community events and nonprofit meetings.

The Associate II plays an important role in ensuring the team operates with consistency and capacity as Community Impact programs grow and evolve across FNBO's footprint.

About This Role:

Footprint Support

* Contribute to Community Impact by effectively covering programmatic and geographic needs across FNBO's footprint, providing capacity where the team needs presence, recommendations and coordination.

* Establish chamber of commerce tiering structure and evaluation for annual decisions to ensure maximum benefit; negotiate with chambers and partners and ensure all assets are utilized for maximum benefit.

* Work with business units to engage appropriate employees in community engagements for strategic benefit - including nonprofit gatherings and other community engagements as needed.

* Represent the bank at nonprofit meetings and community partner interactions as needed at all levels; ensure timely follow-up and relationship continuity across the team's portfolio.

* Provide critical recommendations and guidance to City Ambassadors and business partners with day-to-day community program needs, helping ensure consistent delivery of Community Impact programs across markets.

* Contribute to Community Impact internal communications channels, including SharePoint and intranet pages, ensuring content remains current and aligned with program priorities.

* Provide community intelligence by staying informed on local trends, emerging needs and community conversations, and conduct research as assigned to support informed decision-making across the Community Impact team.

* Identify gaps in community coverage and flag emerging needs; make recommendations and ideate/implement solutions to address.

Reporting, Execution & Educated Backup

* Serve as an educated backup across key Community Impact team functions, maintaining working knowledge of core programs, processes and priorities to provide continuity of operations as needed.

* Develop expertise and acumen for Impact Investing and CDC operations and awareness, ensuring broader team expertise and ability with key processes. Serve as developing Subject Matter Expert and capable cross trained team member on all areas of operations, decision making, board governance and management of the Impact Investing portfolio.

* Support general administration backup for the Community Impact team, including financial analysis, budget tracking, reporting and partner communications.

* Gather and compile information on (Kansas City and footprint as needed) philanthropy requests for committee tracking and consideration and assist with notifications and communications to internal and external partners as needed throughout the review and decision process.

* Make philanthropic recommendations and support the Impact Grant review and tracking and awards, helping ensure timely and organized execution of the grant cycle.

* Prepare reports, presentations and materials for leadership and stakeholder audiences related to Community Impact program performance and priorities.

* Provide communications contributions needs across the team, including assisting with content updates, email communications and other materials when capacity requires.

* Maintain organized records, tracking tools and documentation that support program accountability and operational efficiency across the team.

Program and Event Planningnning

* Independently plan and execute smaller-scale Community Impact events and programs, including volunteerism gatherings, employee engagement activities and community partner events.

* Contribute to volunteerism strategy and planning, supporting the development and coordination of volunteer programs and activities that engage FNBO employees across the footprint and effectively accomplish CRA goals

* Coordinate logistics for community events from start to finish, including venue coordination, communications, materials, volunteer recruitment and day-of execution.

* Support larger enterprise Community Impact campaigns and events, assisting the Senior Associate with coordination, communications and participant engagement.

* Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit and community partners in support of event and program coordination, ensuring positive and productive interactions that reflect FNBO's values.

* Track event participation, outcomes and feedback, providing summaries and insights that contribute to program reporting and continuous improvement.

* Community Awareness Genuine interest in community impact, volunteerism and philanthropy, with a growing knowledge of FNBO's Community Impact strategy and priorities.

* Operational Support Ability to support financial tracking, reporting and administrative functions with accuracy and professionalism.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

* Bachelor's degree required in communications, nonprofit management, public administration, marketing or a related field.

* 5 years of experience in event coordination, program support, community relations, nonprofit work or a related field.

* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong written communication skills with experience developing content for internal platforms, events or community programs.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint; experience with project management or tracking tools a plus.

* Genuine interest in community impact, corporate philanthropy and volunteerism.

* Knowledge of or experience with Corporate Social Responsibility, community development or nonprofit operations preferred.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $63,288.00-$104,425.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
