Position Summary

Job Summary:

The Assembler Deburr is responsible for finishing cleaning, and inspecting plastic molded/machined parts by removing excess material, flash, burrs, and imperfections using hand tools and other finishing equipment. This position ensures parts meet quality standards and customer specifications through careful inspection and precision hand-finishing techniques.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

• Remove excess plastic, flash, burrs, and surface imperfections from molded plastic components using hand tools, knives, files, cutters, and other finishing tools.'
• Inspect plastic parts for defects and verify conformance to quality standards and work instructions.
• Perform trimming, sanding, scraping, polishing, and other finishing operations as required.
• Follow detailed work instructions, specifications, and production schedules.
• Use measuring and inspection tools to verify dimensions and product quality.
• Report quality concerns, defective materials, or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Handle parts carefully to prevent damage during processing.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or finishing experience preferred but not required.

  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for detailed finishing work.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to visually inspect small parts and identify defects.
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements throughout the shift.

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and production equipment.
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and gloves.
• May require overtime or flexible scheduling based on production demands.
