Senior Back-end Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and backend services.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and RESTful API development. The Developer will work across the full application lifecycle, developing reliable backend solutions, integrating with relational and non-relational databases, implementing automated testing, and supporting applications within AWS and Linux environments.

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java applications and backend services.

• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and efficient Java code supporting business applications.

• Develop applications utilizing Core Java, including:

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • Multithreading

  • JVM memory management

• Design and develop backend applications using Spring and Spring Boot.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs supporting web applications and enterprise services.

• Utilize Spring Data JPA for database persistence and application data access.

• Design, write, and optimize database queries across relational and non-relational databases.

• Develop and maintain applications integrating with Oracle databases.

• Deploy and support Java applications within Apache Tomcat environments.

• Develop and support applications within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.

• Work within Linux-based environments for application development, deployment, and troubleshooting.

• Participate throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and integration problems.

• Perform unit testing and application validation using JUnit and Mockito.

• Participate in code reviews and promote Java development best practices.

• Utilize source control, build, and CI/CD technologies including Git and Jenkins.

• Collaborate with developers, engineers, analysts, and other technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• 7-10 years of professional software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.

• Demonstrated understanding of:

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • Multithreading

  • JVM memory management

• Strong experience with Spring Framework.

• Experience with Spring Boot.

• Experience with Spring Data JPA.

• Demonstrated experience developing RESTful APIs using Java/Spring Boot.

• Experience developing backend services supporting web applications.

• Experience with Oracle databases.

• Experience writing and optimizing database queries.

• Experience working with Apache Tomcat.

• Experience developing or supporting applications within AWS cloud environments.

• Experience working within Linux environments.

• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and SDLC practices.
