Job Summary
The Cable & Wire Harness Assembly Technician performs hands-on assembly and manufacturing of electrical cables, wire harnesses, and related components in a production environment. This role requires the ability to work from drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and detailed manufacturing instructions while following established quality and ESD procedures. The technician will perform wire preparation, routing, crimping, assembly, inspection, and production documentation activities. Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical cables, wire harnesses, and related components according to work instructions and specifications.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform wire preparation, routing, crimping, termination, and electrical assembly activities.
• Follow established workmanship, quality, ESD, and manufacturing procedures.
• Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, and quality.
• Complete required production documentation and electronic workflow activities.
• Communicate production status, quality concerns, and technical issues to leads and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete required IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA/J-STD workmanship certifications after hire.
• Use basic computer applications and electronic production systems as required.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in electrical assembly, wiring, cable or wire harness assembly, electronics assembly, electromechanical assembly, or similar manufacturing work.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, wire lists, or detailed manufacturing instructions.
• Experience with wire crimping and ESD procedures.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to successfully complete required IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA/J-STD workmanship certifications after hire.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and established quality procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive hands-on assembly tasks accurately.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Technical or trade school education preferred.
• Previous cable and wire harness manufacturing experience preferred.
• Current IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA/J-STD, or similar electronics assembly certification preferred but not required at submission.
• Experience with manufacturing execution systems or electronic production documentation preferred.
• Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• No security clearance required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or trade school education preferred.

Work Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant hands-on electrical assembly, wiring, cable/wire harness, electronics, or electromechanical manufacturing experience required.
• Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience preferred.
