Job Duties

• Assemble precision mechanical components and subassemblies according to drawings, work instructions, bills of material, and established procedures.
• Maintain strict attention and focus while performing repetitive and detailed assembly operations.
• Inspect components and completed assemblies for proper fit, function, workmanship, and visible defects.
• Take personal responsibility for the accuracy and quality of completed work.
• Verify that the correct components, materials, and quantities are being used before and during assembly.
• Use appropriate hand tools, measuring devices, fixtures, and assembly equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow established quality procedures and complete required production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Immediately stop work and notify the appropriate supervisor or quality representative when a defect, discrepancy, or unclear requirement is identified.
• Maintain component identification and traceability as required.
• Keep the workstation clean, organized, and suitable for precision assembly activities.
• Handle parts and finished assemblies carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or mix-ups.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production training is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to assemble products or components according to work instructions and production standards.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, fixtures, or production equipment as required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect completed work for quality.
• Ability to maintain productivity while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
• Dependable attendance, teamwork, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, experience with drawings and work instructions, and measuring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous factory, manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred.
• Experience working on production lines or assembling mechanical, electrical, or consumer products is beneficial.
• Knowledge of quality inspection, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Mechanical Assembler.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift components, materials, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely handle parts and operate assembly tools or equipment.
• Ability to maintain productivity in a factory environment while following established safety procedures.
