The team works across Product Management, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Configuration Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Field organizations to deliver customer-specific solutions while maintaining product quality, schedule commitments, and business objectives.

As an NSR Project Engineer 4, you will serve as a program leader responsible for driving complex customer requests from initial scoping through release and implementation. You will lead cross-functional teams, influence engineering priorities, resolve technical and business challenges, and ensure successful delivery of customer commitments.

This role requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, project leadership, stakeholder management, business acumen, and execution excellence. You will also help improve NSR processes, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

What you'll do

The NPI Program Manager is a product configuration and engineering change-control expert who leads product structures from concept through production and end of life using enterprise PLM systems. This role manages complex NPI programs, drives cross-functional alignment, and improves Product Structure, Product Option Architecture, and Engineering Change processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own product structure BOMs, options, configurations, and change-control activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Program Management to deliver customer solutions and milestone releases.
  • Lead collaboration with Manufacturing, Materials, Spares, and Supplier Engineering to align build strategies and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and execute cut-in, effectivity, material-disposition, and implementation strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and drive resolution of schedule, configuration, material, and release risks.
  • Ensure engineering-change packages and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Lead complex business-process improvements involving product structure, engineering change, PLM systems, and system interoperability.
  • Develop performance metrics, analyze NPI results, and communicate risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Serve as an escalation point for unresolved issues and proactively drive closure.
  • Mentor less-experienced NPI Program Managers and provide technical guidance on configuration and change-management deliverables.
Who we're looking for
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6 years with a Master's degree; a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in configuration management, engineering change control, BOMs, and product lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional programs without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of product engineering, manufacturing, materials, and NPI release processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Experience mentoring team members and communicating with senior and executive leadership.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Configuration Management, or a related field.
  • Semiconductor or complex capital-equipment industry experience.
  • Experience with SAP, Team Center PLM, Material Master, BOM, and Engineering Change systems.
  • Knowledge of Product Option Architecture, cut-in planning, effectivity, and excess and obsolete inventory management.
  • Program or project-management certification.
