STEM CELL TRANSPLANT - Inpatient Charge Nurse Exceptional nursing leadership has the power to transform both patient outcomes and team performance. Join UVA Health's Stem Cell Transplant Unit and play a critical role guiding complex patient care while supporting a highly skilled team dedicated to cellular therapy and stem cell transplantation. As an Inpatient Charge Nurse, you will serve as a clinical leader in a specialized intermediate care environment caring for patients with hematologic malignancies and other complex conditions. This is an opportunity for an experienced nurse to combine hands-on clinical expertise with leadership, mentorship, and operational coordination in one of healthcare's most advanced and rapidly evolving specialties. The Role The Stem Cell Transplant Unit is a specialized 15-room intermediate care unit focused on Cellular Therapy, Stem Cell Transplantation, and recovery. With a supportive 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts, nurses have the opportunity to deliver highly personalized care while developing advanced expertise in hematology-oncology nursing. As the Charge Nurse, you will be a central leader on the unit, helping coordinate care delivery, support staff, and ensure a seamless patient experience. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing BSN/MSN program that will be completed within 5 years of hire. Experience: RN Clinician 2 or higher who has been employed on the unit for 6 months or has had previous Charge Nurse experience from another unit/organization. Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $47.23 - $62.15 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
