Job Summary: The Executive Director-Perioperative Services demonstrates business acumen and provides administrative, human resource and financial management for assigned multiple inpatient and outpatient perioperative and procedural sites licensed under Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) and Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC), a large tertiary academic medical center with Level One Trauma designation, Comprehensive Stroke Center certification, and ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Receiving Center designation. Inspires clinical practice that is patient-centric and goal oriented. Serves as a key member of the perioperative services leadership team and participates in strategic planning, budget development and staff and resource allocation. Fosters a culture that focuses on continual integration of performance improvement, quality and safety to meet optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of all applicable regulatory standards and ensures compliance with regulations and maintains survey-readiness at all times. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the exceeding of customer expectations by modeling leadership behavior in the context of institutional values, empowerment, alignment, creativity and education. Supports and inspires the journey to nursing excellence and achieving and maintaining Magnet Recognition as outlined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Collaborates with physician leaders and facilitates an empowered and empowering partnership with the relevant physician service chiefs and their medical staff colleagues. Develops, implements and maintains recruitment, retention and succession planning programs that promote a personally fulfilling workplace environment, staff and physician engagement, culture for quality patient care and positive patient experience.
