AMSOIL INC. is expanding our team with a Business Technology Strategy - Director at our AMSOIL Superior, Wisconsin Corporate location! We are looking for a strategic, collaborative and business-minded technology leader who takes pride in building trusted partnerships, connecting business priorities with technology opportunities and shaping enterprise technology direction.

Technology is central to how AMSOIL grows, serves customers and strengthens operations. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner between business and technology leadership, helping align business priorities with technology capabilities, enterprise application strategy and long-term transformation opportunities. Your work will help maximize technology investments, reduce unnecessary complexity and enable business performance through thoughtful, future-focused solutions.



Scheduled hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hybrid: with Tuesday - Thursday being onsite in Superior, WI. (Additional in-office days may be required)



What you will own:



  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with business leaders to understand objectives, opportunities and challenges.
  • Serve as a strategic technology advisor to business and technology leaders.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate business needs into technology-enabled opportunities.
  • Lead enterprise business capability planning to identify gaps, duplication and improvement opportunities.
  • Own and maintain enterprise application strategy in partnership with technology leaders.
  • Guide application portfolio rationalization to maximize investments, reduce technical debt and identify opportunities for modernization, consolidation, replacement or retirement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, automation and AI-enabled opportunities that can improve business performance.
  • Partner with business and technology teams through implementation to ensure solutions meet the identified business need and deliver the intended value.
  • Collaborate with technology leaders to help shape long-term technology vision, roadmaps and future-state planning in alignment with enterprise business priorities.
  • Evaluate technology investments and provide recommendations based on business value, strategic alignment, cost and risk.


What you bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, management information systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technology strategy, enterprise applications, digital transformation or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior business and technology leaders to identify, develop and successfully implement technology-enabled business solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise application strategy, business capability planning, technology modernization and technology investment evaluation.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand strategies, processes, capabilities and operational challenges.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise technology, including applications, software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, integration, automation and artificial intelligence.
  • Ability to influence decisions and organizational direction without direct authority.
  • Strong consulting, facilitation, analytical, critical-thinking, relationship-management and communication skills.

Pay Range: Salary - $155,600 - $183,100 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant education, experience, skills, qualifications and overall alignment with the role.
