The Employee Relations Specialist plays an important role in supporting a respectful, accountable, and well-managed workplace. This position supports the Employee Relations Center of Excellence by reviewing and resolving workplace concerns, conducting investigations, advising leaders, and helping ensure policies and employment practices are applied consistently and fairly.

This role is ideal for someone who brings sound judgment, professionalism, and empathy to sensitive employee matters. The Specialist partners closely with Employee Relations Consultants, HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to address concerns thoughtfully, support leaders through complex situations, and contribute to a positive team member experience while helping mitigate organizational risk.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to workplace concerns received through the Employee Relations case management system, ensuring timely follow-up, clear documentation, and appropriate resolution.
  • Conduct investigations related to attendance concerns, HIPAA/privacy violations, license and certification compliance issues, safety violations, policy infractions, and workplace conduct matters.
  • Gather and analyze relevant information through interviews, document reviews, and fact-finding activities to support objective, thorough, and timely case resolution.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential case documentation in accordance with company policies, employment laws, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Collaborate with Employee Relations Consultants, HRBPs, Legal, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to support effective case management and resolution.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation and corrective action.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years of experience in employee relations and workplace investigations.

  • Experience advising leaders on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation and corrective action, within a healthcare or other regulated environment preferred.
