Play an integral role in Worley's Mechanical and Piping team, supporting the delivery of complex power generation, industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects across North America. As industries continue to modernize and invest in operational reliability, efficiency, and sustainability, you will contribute to the development of high-quality piping and facility designs that support safe, constructable, and cost-effective project execution. Based in Denver, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams on projects ranging from brownfield facility upgrades to large-scale capital developments. Through technical expertise, innovation, and collaboration, you will help customers solve complex design challenges while supporting operational excellence and long-term asset performance. Purpose of the role As a Senior Piping Designer, you will provide advanced piping design expertise across all phases of project execution, from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing piping models, layouts, and design deliverables while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, project specifications, industry standards, and Worley quality processes. You will serve as a technical resource within the piping design team, supporting multidisciplinary coordination, mentoring junior designers, and helping drive efficient project execution. Working closely with engineering, drafting, project management, and customer stakeholders, you will develop practical and constructable solutions that support project objectives while maintaining technical excellence, safety, quality, and schedule commitments. What you'll bring to the role * Two or three-year technical diploma with piping design-focused training, an Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in piping design supporting industrial, power generation, energy, or infrastructure projects. * Extensive experience developing piping layouts, piping models, equipment arrangements, and associated design deliverables. * Strong knowledge of engineering drawing practices, drafting principles, piping design methodologies, and interdisciplinary design coordination. * Demonstrated proficiency with AVEVA E3D, including 3D modeling, design reviews, clash detection, and deliverable generation. * Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing AVEVA E3D for model development, design review, and project execution activities. * Experience working within existing operating facilities, including field verification, tie-in design, and brownfield project execution. * Familiarity with laser scanning technologies and integration of scan data into 3D design environments. * Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation V8i, and other related design software applications. * Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience checking and verifying piping deliverables both in office and field environments. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet project deadlines. * Demonstrated ability to mentor junior designers and provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively engage engineering teams, project stakeholders, customers, and contractors. * Commitment to safety, quality, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence. * Willingness to travel and support field assignments as project requirements dictate.
