Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead production facility layout planning, site seating strategy, and infrastructure planning to support operational and production needs

  • Manage and develop a team responsible for facilities planning and coordination activities

  • Oversee capital expenditure planning, project tracking, and reporting for facilities-related initiatives

  • Serve as the focal point supporting Boeing Wichita integration efforts for Global Real Estate and Facilities workstreams

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, and Facilities to support site planning and operational initiatives

  • Provide leadership and direction for facility-related projects to ensure alignment with business priorities and operational requirements

  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to senior leadership

  • Identify opportunities for facility improvements that increase operational efficiency and support production growth

  • Support long-term facility planning initiatives and campus space utilization strategies.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience managing people, teams, or major cross-functional projects

  • 7+ years of overall facilities management experience
  • Experience leading and developing team members in a professional environment

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or operational environment

  • Experience presenting project updates and strategic initiatives to senior leadership

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of the Wichita Boeing Campus is a plus
  • Experience with facility layout planning, infrastructure planning, or space planning initiatives
  • Experience supporting multiple facilities, operations, construction, or capital improvement projects
  • Experience working in an aerospace facilities management environment.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $95,200 - $146,000
