We have an exciting opening for a R&D Lab Engineering Intern in Elyria, Ohio. This is an on-site opportunity starting in the summer of 2027.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and executing lab tests to support the validation of new and existing products, including cartridges, industrial valves, and mobile valves.
  • Help maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Collect and analyze test data, assisting in the preparation of reports summarizing findings.
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of all testing activities.
  • Support inspections using metrological equipment.
  • Assist in specifying parts and materials needed for test setups.
  • Collaborate with team members and engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve test processes.
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as needed to support R&D projects.

We are looking for talent with:

  • Preferred: Familiarity with CAD software, experience with basic electrical troubleshooting, knowledge of programming tools (PLC, LabVIEW, Python).
  • Strong interest in engineering, with a focus on R&D or mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Basic understanding of lab equipment and testing methodologies (prior lab experience is a plus).
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics (hydraulic and electrical).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) for effective collaboration with engineers and other team members.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and apply new techniques.
