As a Senior Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting pursuit teams and advancing strategic growth initiatives across our Water Business Group. You'll work alongside business development leaders, project managers, and technical teams to help position HDR to win work, strengthen client relationships, and elevate our brand in the marketplace. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to both pursuit execution and broader marketing strategy. This position supports pursuits from early positioning through submittal, while also contributing to strategic initiatives, brand development, and internal communications. Your work will directly influence how HDR shows up to clients and partners across the region.
In the role of Senior Water Marketing Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
- Support pursuit teams in developing proposal and interview materials that are clear, consistent, and aligned with client priorities
- Coordinate proposal logistics including schedules, compliance tracking, and final submittals
- Monitor client and industry portals for upcoming opportunities and solicitation activity
- Maintain accurate project, resume, and pursuit data in HDR business development systems
- Support development of client plans and strategic growth initiatives in alignment with business group priorities
- Assist in implementation of go/no-go decision processes and pursuit tracking
- Contribute to content marketing efforts that strengthen HDR's brand and visibility in the water market
- Support creation of marketing collateral, presentations, and branded materials for client engagements
- Coordinate conference participation, including sponsorship deliverables and logistics
- Develop internal communications content such as announcements, presentations, and meeting materials
- Support planning and coordination of internal meetings, workshops, and events
- Track and manage inventory of branded materials for client and recruiting use
- Arrange for project photography and support asset collection for marketing use
- Help gather and organize client feedback and support continuous improvement efforts
- Train and mentor junior staff on marketing and pursuit best practices, as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience supporting A/E/C proposals or pursuits
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Excellent time management, organizational and strategic marketing communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines with professionalism and diplomacy
- Willingness to travel within the Southern California Area as needed
- Ability to compose documents onscreen and to communicate graphically
- Interface with people both inside and outside the firm including clients and sub-consultants
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments
- Strength in managing multiple deadlines/multi-tasking skills while providing responsive communication
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing, and presentation; Interview coaching ability a plus
- Enjoy working with different personality styles and management levels
- Requires little or no direction in area of specialization
- Positive outlook and attitude
- Experience supporting pursuit planning and proposal development for competitive A/E/C pursuits; Water industry experience a plus
- Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services;
- Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff

Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign
- Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight

The expected compensation range for this position is $71,000 - $91,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
