Your Role

The Gensler Research Institute is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to support the visual storytelling of our research, insights, and thought leadership. This internship will offer exposure to various stages of publishing research, from information and concept design to the creation of print and digital graphics of multiple types. This role is ideal for a design student or recent graduate who is curious, collaborative, and excited to translate data and ideas into clear, compelling graphics.

What You Will Do

  • Work closely with the design team to support reports, presentations, social graphics, and digital content.
  • Help translate research data, concepts, and findings into charts, infographics, and branded layouts
  • Assist with formatting layouts and production for both print and digital materials
  • Collaborate with research, marketing, and design teams to maintain visual quality and consistency

Your Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Strong skills in Power Point and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Clear eye for layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Interest in data visualization and visual storytelling
  • Experience w/ programming language, web design, animation and/or video a plus
  • Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong visual communication and design fundamentals

*This position will be closed to applicants on Wednesday, 9/16/26.

*This is a part-time internship (up to 20 hours per week) at a rate of $28/hr

*The internship will be based onsite in Gensler's NY office through May of 2027
