A Day in the Life of the Manager, Field Marketing:

The Manager, Field Marketing supports the Director of Guerrilla Marketing in driving localized marketing strategy and execution across events, sponsorships, and key campaigns. While contributing to strategic planning, the position is primarily accountable for leading day-to-day execution, ensuring seamless delivery of high-impact marketing initiatives, and managing a team responsible for field-level activation.

  • Own end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives across events, sponsorships, and local campaigns

  • Translate strategic direction from leadership into actionable plans and deliverables

  • Lead planning and on-the-ground execution of events, ensuring operational excellence and brand consistency

  • Manage event logistics including vendors, materials, run-of-show, and on-site coordination

  • Support identification and evaluation of sponsorships and community partnerships aligned to market strategy

  • Lead execution of large-scale activations to drive brand awareness and local engagement

  • Oversee event portfolio, calendar management, and execution prioritization across markets

  • Ensure effective integration of promotional channels including social, digital, and media support

  • Coordinate development and production of marketing assets and collateral in partnership with internal teams and external agencies

  • Support execution of campaigns across direct sales and local marketing channels

  • Manage marketing calendars to ensure alignment across initiatives and stakeholders

  • Develop and distribute sales collateral and internal communications to support field teams

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and event partners

  • Manage relationships with marketing vendors, agencies, and event partners

  • Serve as a key liaison between marketing, sales, and local leadership to ensure alignment and execution readiness

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver cohesive marketing programs

  • Directly manage and develop a team of field marketing specialists

  • Provide clear direction, prioritization, and oversight to ensure high-quality execution across all initiatives

  • Coach team members on event execution, stakeholder management, and operational excellence

  • Drive accountability, performance management, and professional development within the team

  • Track and manage event and marketing budgets, including vendor payments and cost control

  • Monitor execution effectiveness and provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Support reporting and performance tracking for marketing initiatives

  • Actively support, promote, and advance all aspects of Astound's Inclusion and Belonging work, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard, and empowered.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in field marketing, local marketing, event marketing, sponsorships, community engagement, or related marketing activation roles.

  • 2+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, prioritizing work, developing team members, and managing performance.

  • Proven ability leading field-level execution across multiple markets, events, campaigns, or community partnerships.

  • Ability to successfully manage vendor, agency, sponsorship, or event partner relationships, including timelines, deliverables, and budget tracking.

  • Strong collaboration skills by working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and local leadership to align priorities and deliver effective market activation.

  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable for high-quality execution.

  • Ability to translate marketing strategy into clear field plans, priorities, timelines, and actionable deliverables.

  • Strong understanding of field marketing, event execution, sponsorship activation, local campaigns, and community engagement.

  • Ability to manage multiple events, campaigns, vendors, and stakeholder requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including calendar management, logistics planning, resource coordination, and follow-through.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with sales, marketing, operations, local leaders, vendors, agencies, and community partners.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize work, resolve execution issues, and escalate risks appropriately.

  • Comfortable using data, performance results, and stakeholder feedback to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Strong budget awareness, including the ability to track spend, manage vendor costs, and support responsible use of marketing resources.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear direction, updates, and recommendations to leaders and field teams.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency, operational excellence, and customer-focused execution.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; experience with project management or marketing planning tools preferred.

  • Ability to travel locally or regionally as needed to support events, field activations, and market engagement.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field or equivalent field marketing, event, or people leadership experience

Base Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 (annually), plus opportunities for benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
