Full Stack Engineer

Job Description:

Tria is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong experience with modern web application development using React for the frontend, Node.JS ecosystem for the backend. Who is comfortable building and utilizing REST APIs backed by DocumentDB or MongoDB on the caching layer. Someone who will be part of a collaborative and agile team that supports and delivers enterprise solutions for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Basic Requirements:



  • Ability to successfully obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation.


  • Mustresidein and be able to perform work in the United States.


  • Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years.


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent


  • At least 8 years of total experience


  • 5+ years of experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, Typescript, JavaScript, Bootstrap, LESS, SASS, CSS to bring concepts to life.


  • 5+ years of experience in React


  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable and resilient applications with Node.JSutilizingframeworks like Express.JS, Nest.JS, or similar.



Additional Qualifications:



  • Experience with containerization technologies using Docker.


  • Experience working with AWS ecosystem (S3, ECS, RDS, Lambda, Parameter Store) and related tools and technologies.


  • Experience debugging throughuse of monitoringapplications like AWSCloudwatch, New Relic, Data Dog, or similar.


  • Experience developing modular, test first, mobile first, reusable components and web apps with React.


  • Experience building microservices using Node.js.


  • Test-driven mindset with experience with tools and frameworks like Jasmine, Protractor or similar.


  • Strong experience working with git.


  • Experience in using modern build tool chains and package managers (webpack, gulp, grunt,npmetc.).


  • Experience translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code.


  • Experience working in agile environments using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.


  • Experienceoptimizingcomponents for maximum performance across various web-capable devices and browsers.


  • Experienceoptimizingforthe user's experience while keeping the application accessible.


  • Experience working with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB,DocumentDBor MongoDB


  • Ability to provide any code on GitHub or such that you have worked on personally or in the open-source community.


  • Socially accessible profiles thatdemonstratethe body of work and participation in modern collaboration hubs.


  • Ability to explore alternatives and quickly build prototypes tovalidateideas and help iterate concepts.


  • One or more AWS certifications.


  • Ability todemonstrateproficiencywithIaCin either Ansible, Terraform, puppet, chef, or ant.


  • Demonstrated effort in modern web application design and development in more than one framework such as Vue, React, Angular and other front-end frameworks.


  • Understanding of CI/CD and experience using related tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.



Responsibilities:



  • Analyze and understand complex business and engineering challenges.


  • Understand user needs, and design end-to-end user experience with practical, reliable, and efficient solutions.


  • Someone who isa great teamplayer and believes in solving challenges as a team.


  • Ability to explore alternatives and quickly build prototypes tovalidateideas and help iterate concepts.


  • Design modern, scalable, and open-source solutions and architectures (webapp, micro-services-based APIs, data stores) while taking an enterprise view of connected systems, interfaces, downstream impacts.


  • Explain complex solutions in simple and intuitive manner to different stakeholders.


  • Collaborate with multiple small teams to design, develop and deliver productfeaturesincremental and iterative manner.


  • Be a champion for modern application development practices and mentor team members towards them.


  • Support test-driven development using various automated testing tools.


  • Perform asa great teamplayer and solve challenges as part of a team.
  • Explore alternatives and quickly build prototyping tovalidateideas and help iterate concepts.


Public Trust Clearance:

Many of our roles require the hired candidate to go through public trust clearance. A minimum of 3 years of stay in the U.S. within the last 5 yearsis required tobe eligible to qualify for public trust clearance sponsorship.

Work Location:

Headquarteredin Arlington, VA, we also have a primary office in Baltimore, MD for those who prefer to work on-site. However, with employees spread across 40+ states, we have many remote roles.
