The Safety & Compliance Administrator develops, administers, and oversees the company's FMCSA compliance program and builds and rolls out a structured onboarding program for new drivers. The role also maintains safety, fleet, and compliance systems and records, supports audits and continuous improvement, and provides administrative and reporting support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, administer, and oversee the company's FMCSA compliance program, including driver qualification files, hours-of-service, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Develop and administer a structured driver onboarding program covering orientation, training, completion tracking, and the qualification process from application through approval.
  • Provide administrative support for company safety and compliance programs, including recordkeeping, documentation, reporting, training coordination, and follow-up activities.
  • Administer safety, telematics, and compliance systems, including user management, data integrity, reporting, and ongoing system support.
  • Develop and distribute dashboards, KPI reports, scorecards, and performance analytics.
  • Maintain safety, compliance, inspection, incident, training, and regulatory records in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
  • Coordinate employee Safety related onboarding tasks, training assignments, compliance verification, and certification tracking.
  • Support facility audits, corrective actions, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assume administrative responsibility for additional systems, programs, and business processes as organizational needs evolve.


Qualifications



  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations, including driver qualification, hours-of-service, drug and alcohol testing, and CSA methodology.
  • Administrative experience in safety, transportation, compliance, human resources, or operations preferred.
  • Experience developing or administering training, onboarding, or compliance programs preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
  • Experience administering databases, software platforms, or records management systems.
  • Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and data management skills.
