Job Description

The Department of History at the University of Missouri, Columbia is seeking a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor in Public History with an emphasis in U.S. History; all fields are welcome. This position is renewable annually. The successful candidate will be expected to teach three to four courses a semester, which will include specialty courses in the field of Public History as well as sections of both our pre-Civil War U.S. Survey course as well as the post-Civil War U.S. Survey course. The successful candidate may also assist with the Department of History's internship programs, growing our internship partnerships.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in History by time of appointment. Candidates will be evaluated on teaching and research.
