| Position Summary |
The Foundation Fund Management (
FFM) team within the Franklin College Common Business Services Center (
FCCBSC) provides effective fiscal management and stewardship of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences' donor funding. This position provides support for all gift-related transactions and all expenditure, budget, and fund-related transactions. This position collaborates with the
FBSO Financial Affairs Support Team (
FAST); manages and prepares monthly reconciliation for the unit's foundation accounts; and aids faculty and staff regarding policies and procedures. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
* Completion of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Direct experience in the area of
UGA Foundation fund administration
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to interact with a variety of personalities at all levels, exercising tact, confidentiality, sound judgment, diplomacy, and flexibility to promote positive working relationships and job effectiveness
* Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing multiple competing projects in an organized, efficient manner by prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
* Ability to act independently and exercise sound judgment with sensitivity to identify matters that require higher-level management consultation
* Solid knowledge of
UGA and
UGAF policies related to foundation funds
* Demonstrated experience performing analysis involving programmatic and fiscal considerations resulting in the formation of action plans
* Experience managing and developing budgets
* Strong attention to detail

Fiscal Management:
- Maintain the master budget for all Foundation funds within assigned departments
- Coordinate with FAST for the management and monthly reconciliation of all departmental Foundation funds (endowed and spendable). Ensure that all expenditures are accurately posting to the appropriate fund both within UGA Financials and FAME
- Provide monthly financial reports to team manager, faculty members, and department heads

Approvals and Compliance:
- Maintain knowledge of fund agreements
- Serve as the approver in the UGA Financial Management system for Foundation fund-related transactions
- Serve as reviewer/approver for all transactions submitted to UGAF; Coordinate with Dean's Office as needed
- Work closely with FAST to oversee processing of scholarships and awards in Scholarship Universe
- Ensure compliance with UGA financial processes and standards
- Ensure compliance with UGAF Expenditure Control policy and procedures
- Perform random audits of the processes and procedures within the FFM team, FAST, and the FCCBSC
