WEM Technical Consultant Overview

The WEM Technical Expert/Consultant would provide dedicated cloud architecture and technical overlay support for enterprise sales opportunities. This role would help Aspect address complex customer requirements related to Aspect Cloud Workforce, APIs, integrations, security, hyperscaler environments, and networking.

By adding this role, Aspect would strengthen technical credibility in enterprise sales cycles, reduce friction during architecture and security reviews, improve demo system readiness, and accelerate Solution Consulting team velocity through deeper expertise and reusable technical enablement.

Role Purpose

The WEM Technical Expert/Consultant would serve as a specialized technical overlay for Solution Consulting and Sales. This role would support opportunities that require deeper technical validation, architecture discussions, integration planning, or enterprise readiness guidance.

The role would provide focused expertise across:

  1. Aspect Cloud Workforce architecture
  2. APIs and integration patterns
  3. Security and compliance conversations
  4. Networking and hyperscaler environments
  5. Demo system readiness and technical troubleshooting
  6. Enterprise technical discovery and solution validation
  7. This resource would help ensure that complex technical questions are addressed earlier in the sales process, with clear, accurate, and confident responses for customer IT, security, architecture, and procurement stakeholders.
Business Value

Enterprise sales opportunities increasingly require more than product knowledge. Customers need confidence that Aspect's solution can meet their architecture, security, integration, scalability, and operational requirements.

A dedicated WEM Technical Expert/Consultant would strengthen the sales process by bringing deeper technical credibility into customer conversations, helping Solution Consultants navigate complex technical requirements, and reducing dependency on ad hoc Product or Engineering escalation.

This role would also improve consistency across enterprise opportunities by creating repeatable technical assets, standardizing technical messaging, and supporting stronger internal enablement for the SC organization.

Why This Role Matters

As enterprise opportunities become more complex, the Solution Consulting team needs access to specialized technical expertise that can support deep architecture, API, security, networking, and cloud conversations without slowing down the sales cycle.

This role would serve as a technical escalation point and strategic partner for customer-facing technical discussions, demo environment maturity, integration readiness, and reusable enablement.

It would also improve SC process velocity by reducing the amount of time SCs spend independently researching or resolving highly technical questions, while helping the broader team adopt tools, technical workflows, and repeatable best practices more effectively.

  4. Support customer-facing technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and procurement processes
  5. Partner with Product, Engineering, Integrations, Security, and Cloud teams to clarify technical positioning
  6. Create reusable technical documentation for Solution Consulting and Sales enablement
  7. Develop architecture diagrams, API guidance, technical FAQs, integration patterns, and security response content
  8. Support demo system initiatives, environment updates, troubleshooting, and technical readiness
  9. Improve SC adoption of technical tools, APIs, demo environments, architecture documentation, and repeatable workflows
  10. Help standardize technical messaging across strategic opportunities
