SUMMARY

Loads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pulls Orders for pickup
  • Attention to detail
  • Pull, pack and ship parts for warranty, back charge and sales orders
  • Ships parts in a timely fashion
  • Data entry into Visual and Integra
  • Responsible for tracking and monitoring inventory levels
  • Ability to interpret and disposition packing slips
  • Understand the Daily Operations of the shipping department
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Moves raw material through the plant to its dedicated work area as requested
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Send return labels to customers in order to receive defective parts back
  • Sends defective parts back to vendor for replacement/credit
  • Prepare LTL shipments for our large orders
  • Operate standup and sit-down lifts
  • Issues parts being shipped and close out the open orders
  • Process part shortages through Constraint Board System
  • Process and disposition mis-shipments
  • Prepare and process shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, shipping labels
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers (FedEx, UPS, freight companies)
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of all shipments
  • Other duties as assigned.

Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain shipping records and logs in digital and/or paper formats.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments.
  • Reconcile shipping invoices and coordinate with accounting for payment.
  • Assist in filing, data entry, and inventory reporting.
  • Communicate with internal departments (sales, customer service, warehouse) to ensure smooth shipping operations.
  • Handle customer or vendor inquiries regarding shipments or returns.
  • Follow up on delayed or lost shipments.
  • File freight claims
  • Help maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
  • Adhere to safety and compliance regulations (OSHA, hazardous materials handling if applicable).
  • Obtain freight quotes and charges
  • Review transportation schedule and vendor direct schedule

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Basic reading/writing skills
  • Ability to read and understand all job specifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training.
