What You'll Do:
- Conduct lending interviews and underwrite consumer loan applications in alignment with the clients' lending philosophy and ethical standards.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with members through meaningful conversations.
- Open accounts and identify opportunities to recommend appropriate products and services.
- Manage multiple member relationships simultaneously, from quick interactions to hour-long consultations.
- Take full ownership of lending cases from intake through completion.
- Clearly explain loan terms, rates, conditions, and expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments as needed.
- Participate in team culture, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
- Educate members and refer them to additional credit union resources when appropriate.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience in lending, credit unions, financial services, nonprofit work, or high-level member service.

- Empathy, sound judgment, and confidence navigating complex or sensitive situations.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable managing underwriting, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Comfortable communicating by phone and in person.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and remain agile in a fast-paced environment.
