We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aircraft components. This role requires extensive experience with CMM equipment, GD&T interpretation, precision measuring instruments, and AS9100 quality standards to ensure products meet customer and engineering specifications.

Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.



Experience Requirements


  • 3-5+ years of aerospace or aircraft component inspection experience
  • Experience operating CMM equipment and inspection software
  • Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Experience generating NCRs, CARs, and RMAs
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality requirements
  • Strong understanding of calibration processes and inspection procedures


Job Duties


  • Inspect aerospace components using CMMs, prints, CAD models, and inspection plans
  • Verify dimensions, surface finishes, plating, hardness, and geometric tolerances
  • Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, and other precision tools
  • Complete complex setups using sine plates, gauge blocks, indicators, and surface plates
  • Identify defects, nonconformances, and visual discrepancies
  • Create NCR, CAR, and RMA documentation as needed
  • Maintain calibration records and inspection logs
  • Follow quality procedures, routers, and engineering specifications



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Mechanical Inspector.



Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
